STRATEGIC PLAN 2024-2027
Our Roadmap to Impactful Change
At St. Helena Preschool For All, we believe that every child deserves a strong start in life, and access to quality early education is a crucial part of that journey. Over the next three years, we are committed to deepening our impact on families and children in need, strengthening our community, and ensuring that no child is left behind.
Our Strategic Plan 2024-2027 is a bold, forward-thinking blueprint designed to guide us toward our vision of serving every family in need, regardless of financial barriers. This plan reflects our dedication to ensuring that children receive the early support they need to thrive in school and beyond.
As we embark on this journey, we are focused on six key priorities that will allow us to meet the challenges ahead, grow sustainably, and continue to deliver life-changing opportunities for families. These priorities include expanding our reach, diversifying our funding, and developing a culture of giving within our organization.
This strategic plan isn’t just a roadmap—it’s a commitment to the families we serve, the donors and partners who support us, and the community we’re proud to be a part of. Together, we can create lasting change for generations to come.
OUR PRIORITIES
1. Serve every family
2. Diversify funding sources
3. Develop fundraising capacity
4. Support Board leadership & capacity
5. Nurture partnerships
6. Continue and increase family engagement
With the advent of universal transitional kindergarten for 4-year-old students, SHPFA will direct eligible students to the public schools, and focus on serving 3-year-olds in recognition of the benefits of early student engagement.
Cultivating more diverse funding sources will allow SHPFA to reduce reliance on grant funding, deepen community involvement, and develop its own capacity for attracting funds.
SHPFA is motivated to continue to fully meet its mission despite the sunset of a major recurring grant. Through diversification and expansion of its sources of income and fundraising methods, Board and staff working together will create an organizational culture of fundraising.
The highly engaged and motivated SHPFA Board of Directors will continue to develop its own governance and leadership.
Maximize all opportunities to partner with community groups and nonprofit organizations in ways that are meaningful to SHPFA’s success.
SHPFA will continue to support families by providing parenting resources, family recreation, and community leadership opportunities.
KEY MILESTONES
2024: Secure Sustainable Funding
Why it Matters: This year is pivotal for SHPFA as we must replace the funding from a sunsetting major grant. Without securing sustainable financial support, we risk reducing the number of scholarships offered, directly impacting families who depend on early education to build a foundation for their child’s future success.
What We’re Doing:
Individual Donor Program: We're launching a robust donor program to build lasting relationships and create a community of supporters invested in the success of our children.
The Impact: If we meet our funding goal this year, we can continue providing scholarships to every child in need, giving them the best possible start in life.
